    On today’s episode,

There are times that require us to be more mindful, more conscious, and to have a sustainable mindset. The energy shifted last week when Joe Biden and Kamala Harris won! But we still have a lot of work to do.

70 million people (55% were white women) voted for evil rather than humanity. These stats are concerning, especially for women of color. All women are the source of bringing life and wisdom into this world and we do raise nations whether patriarchy and capitalism like it or not.

There are male LGBTQ parents raising their children better than women these days. If these white women are advocating for hate, evil, white supremacy, and racist and fascist systems, then these are the communities and children that will require better anti-racism and anti-white supremacy education.

No more leaving it for the BIPOC and parents to deal with it alone. Unity in education, reconciliation, and emancipation must be the goal for all of us; while also uniting to fight for our planet, equality, and justice. Racism, capitalism, and white supremacy are deep-rooted evils seeping into our unconscious minds (learned in schools, from parents, society and our ecosystems) and we need to work on conscious actions (sustainable within and out) to eradicate them from our minds. We need to embrace anti-racism education in schools, books, workshops. This is vital, especially during these times of unavoidable change in our minds and surroundings.

White People Love Racism More Than They Love Humanity

White people overwhelmingly chose racism, inequality, hate, and white rage in 2020.medium.com

Here in Montreal, Quebec, there were a lot of white supremacists and racists showing their support for the orange bigot. Yep, those on Facebook, Twitter and IG. Which is not surprising because we have the same issues here as in the USA. We unfollowed a lot of people this year and it was a blessing to be unfollowed by those that were triggered by our content. We blocked many racist bigots. It is what it is; negativity and toxicity attract each other. The more we engage, the more we feed into it. Be conscious of your own BS too, we all do it.

Meanwhile we should also hold others accountable. If they say, do, post or share racist remarks, or anything that does not align with basic human rights, our planet, and changing this corrupt system, then what’s the point?

It is all of our responsibility to report injustices, fight climate change by helping to build new systems, and defend marginalized groups and those who are voiceless. Our actions must teach a lesson by not lowering ourselves to the level of these toxic people. We must not act like them. Hold your truth and fight for what’s right, but do not feed negativity and toxicity by doing the same thing as them. That’s also unsustainable for you and others. We need to flush colonized, racist, and fascist mindsets out of our brains and surroundings. In other words, your courage, your voice, your resilience and the truth will always bother those who are rotten inside and need to work on being better humans.

It is Inhumane Not to Care About Human Rights, Black Lives , Any People of Color, Women, Justice, Elderly, People With Disabilities and Climate Change. These all matter a lot. _AO

We should not forget that this is only the beginning. We must continue to educate, organize, strategize, and hold people, government leaders, policy makers, and corporations accountable.

But we should also focus more on positivity and being more self-conscious of our own actions, how we are towards others and ourselves too. Our minds have been conditioned and programmed for a very long time.

We must let go of the energy that is no longer serving us, in order to continue growing and moving forward.

We all have to heal in a way that also helps heal our planet and others.

On the second episode of the podcast, it’s me being honest about WritersYep in the present, and talking about ways to feel good while some of us are in lockdown or semi-lockdown. Especially with the winter blues on the horizon. And pandemic fatigue is real y’all.

As an empath and single mother, in this episode, I’m also sending you some healing, positive energy, and encouragement to help you cope in these rough times.

Stay safe, wear a mask, keep your distance, wash your hands often, and take care of your mental health first. Remember to be kind to your mind, to your planet, and to others.

    Thank you for your support!

    Love and Light,

    _AO.

Follow Your Strengths and Less Focus On The Outcome.

These we will be diving deeper during semi-lockdown through our new podcast Your Story Matter.

This is an experiment and you are all invited yay!

“It’s unfortunate that this has happened. No. It’s fortunate that this has happened and I’ve remained unharmed by it — Not shattered by the present or frightened of the future.” — Marcus Aurelius, Meditations, 4–49a

If there’s anything I’ve learned through this whole quarantine, semi-lockdown in this city (Montreal, Quebec), it’s that my toddlers will remember that through these hard times, we were more mindful, there was less wasted time and more precious moments together. They will remember that self-care is self-discipline, mental health is a priority and our inner creativity, wisdom, courage and happiness are all within us. We just need the tools and the right guidance to access them any time we need them the most.

I’ve never been as close to my girls as I have been in the past 8 months. My daughters; even when the tears keep falling down without my consent and I swear, I’m trying to make them stop… Even releasing this new podcast yesterday was hard. My mother has been transferred to palliative care. This place is for her to get better care and to be with more professionals since she’s in her last stages of Alzheimer’s and dementia. I’m not going to sugarcoat it. It hurts a lot.

We have seen it all, been there, and cared for her all throughout the last 7 years since she was diagnosed. It’s gotten to the point where we’re no longer able to bring her to the bathroom like we used to when she was still able to walk a couple of months ago. Now, her state seems to be one of less suffering, which I pray is the case. She can’t speak anymore but her eyes say it all so clear. Her laugh is the only thing that hasn’t changed which is her way of letting us know that she’s happy when we are around or that she’s comfortable. Also, that laugh has always been her love language and I’m definitely going to miss hearing it. That’s why I’ve been calling this disease the silent death. Because you have no idea what a person who is really voiceless is going through. They know. Kindness was her lesson to us while she was conscious and then it became deeper if that’s even possible, through her sickness.

I’ve been on my healing journey, but neglecting it lately because I’ve been dealing with a lot of work. We are pivoting this business (yep, I’m re-building the website 🙂 Stay tuned!), new collaborations (hopefully sponsors) are on the horizon, and kids in school during covid-19’s second wave in this city are already drained. It’s detrimental to anyone’s mental health and survival.

I’m grateful for the bad and the good lessons of this year. I’ll be sharing more and I will keep improving on personal development by reading, listening, learning from others’ stories and helping small business owners, BIPOC and the voiceless (children, teachers, essential workers, nurses, people with disabilities and the elderly) as much as I can, while continuing to grow this creative online business from home, working freelance, and providing other services from my team and I 🙂

Aside from running a full-time online business, I have a new book publishing soon, we started our podcast (it took me 5 years to finally let go and do it) and I’ve just been really following my inner creative strengths while being less focused on the outcome. I don’t know what it will mean for the future. I just know that consistent work, emotional courage, creativity, being more conscious of our actions and patience, are key during these times. Also, embracing spiritual activism. Because we all need healing, and we must help others in need and those who are voiceless. Together, let’s discover what else is out there, not just in the external or physical realm.

These platforms will be our journey and also the beacon of light to sustain my girls and myself while we are in semi-lockdown, safe at home. Thank you for your support, for subscribing, following, for your encouraging DM’s, emails, and comments and for sharing the love. It really has been a blessing to have the support of an inspiring and creative ecosystem to help each other thrive in times of adversity.

Love what you do and do what you love…Do it a lot ❤ (My oldest daughter tells me this now when it’s “mom writing/editing book” time). Very grateful for my daughters who are my Why and my motivation to keep going through these tough times — so I can help others achieve the same. #goals2020

Serendipity moment: Let’s be better humans in 2020.

1 year ago Entrepreneurship, Health & Wellness, Life Wisdom, WritersYep, Yeppin

“Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself.”

    — Rumi

Yep, this is a multicultural writing community where their own founder its having a hard time writing…WTF (Sorry for my writing language).

We all go through ups and downs, fear of not being good enough, overthinking, comparing and it’s hard to let go of this toxic pattern. It’s been a year, I’m sure for most you readers too. Let’s do ourselves a favor and let go of the negativity together shall we?

There are moments that women don’t really want to talk about with each other or admit to ourselves. “We can do it all!”….Yeah, not alone. Raising kids takes a village. Building businesses takes a village of smart, discipline and positive warriors.

However, we women know that we are superheroes. My mom used to tell me this a lot, and I used to laugh at her… Now as a single mom with two toddlers and building with my own small funds two online businesses (creative online media agency and unfranchise business) . I’m grateful for all the people supporting me; my family, my team, my friends, my partners (Shop.com) and this community. Without you, I wouldn’t be doing this.

I’ve been in a journey of break-ups, grieving and watching my mother slowly dying from Alzheimer’s and dementia (last stages now). Understanding the responsibilities of being a single mother and adjusting to that; emotionally, financially and physically. Evolving at the same time as a founder of this creative online media space. However, I’m grateful for all the good and the bad. Here is what I’ve learned:

    •  It starts by giving value to your work and passions.
    • You cannot rush creativity. I’ve learned during this time off (digital detox), that you can’t rush or try to speed up creativity. Just like a tree, life or the development of an infant. Anything good that it’s meant to last, needs its time, understanding and patience. In order to determine if your seed you’ve planted, nurture and care for, it’s ready for harvesting or not.
    • what really matters when you fall or make mistakes, is always getting back up again and keeping in mind you are always learning.
    • keep working towards your goals and doing what you got to do for your families and friends… why not? If they become better human beings because of you then that’s awesome!
    • Alone time, listening to good music, reading and ultimate favorite soundtrack movies help get the writing juices going on paper…. Yes, old school is best school…butt #2020vision for me is changing my ways of being smarter with the digital work environment and adjusting my habits to apply consistency.

So now, aside from writing my newsletters once or twice a month. I’m committing to at least once a week blog post plus debriefing when we start our podcast soon 🙂 ” it will be my own therapeutic mornings” or when I have time. (I’ll make time, which is why I’m writing this blog post today. )

    Subscribe to our newsletter!

Yep, really sucky part of writing about your life and sending it in a long email form (sorry,.. but not sorry.) I’m thankful for those who unsubscribed. Needed to come clear of what I need to be doing, focus on my goals and do what I love to do for work.

Writing, reading, science, helping others connect or build brands and social Media.

So, now you know I write a lot, I’m a sensitive soul that loves to help others find their way, I want my kids and our future generation to have more than 10 years here on earth, Podcast (I love to talk to people and learn from others)  and love to create valuable content.

If we can just do these, life will be set right? Yep, my team, partners and myself working on it! This writing, creative online media plus eco publishing startup has taken us almost 3 years to build; this is an organic community (no ads) and we are getting ready to expand.

Writing and being an SEO expert, it’s not easy to build. Its a career that you need to work on everyday. Even on writer’s block days. You also have to work on your network of lovely people, keep building relationships and stay consistent as much as you can. We are not all perfect and when things get rough, you’ll learn as you go to be flexible and understand that creativity, art and acquiring knowledge it’s a process, not a marathon.

As a founder, I’ve learned the importance of delegating to my teammates about the business maintenance, our new partnerships and all the yada lala… It was really hard at first because I got used to doing things by myself. However, I’ve come to realize how that slows our process, I was getting more burnouts than I can count which was damping our ability to keep growing and developing better services and content.

I treasure my teams and partners feedbacks. As well as, our followers on all our social media channels and subscribers. Without you, this idea that started when I was pregnant with my first child and not able to find a job that I could speak and write in my languages (spanish and english), that respects me and values my knowledge as a women in science wanting to make a change. A women that advocates for Earth and not be limited because I didn’t speak French…  Now, after 3 years it feels like we need to branch out in order to fly. Getting experts and introduce new members into our teams will be magnificent and I can’t wait to meet them!

Now, it feels like a duty and a responsibility not only to finish the blueprint of WritersYep Agency. But also to share what I know from my mentors and coaches. What we have  learned in our travels through the business world or crazy Mom life, because we never know. Someone in the world might need to read or hear what we or others have to say. This is why #yourstorymatters Podcast will start very soon 🙂

My point, I’m building a daily writing/content creation/health journey habits. I’m committing to write here for you and to debrief #Yeppin.

Some of this journey will be published on Medium too. Here is my first post (here).

Education needs to be shared, learned and implemented. Actions + Goals are required in everyday life and everyone has a different set of goals that they need to prioritize. Its life, and now everything must be done at a really fast pace or else.. You might feel like a wrecked human that also appreciates life….weird right? That’s why having breaks, being mindful and living sustainably matters more than anything starting this new era.

I’ve read in mindfulness and being present books (ex: The power of now by Eckart Tolle, Mindfulness: an 8 weeks plan for finding peace in a frantic world by Mark William and Danny Penman)

These books main focus are; first, the art of letting go of trying to control everything and to understand that mind, heart and spirit are one. Two, the important lesson is the basic and well-tested strategies for regaining control of your mind and body is through fasting.

There are many different forms, such as water fasting where you only drink water and don’t consume food of any kind for a period of time (often 1–3 days). There’s juice fasting  (often 1–10 days). Basically, you allow your digestive system to rest, recover, and reset. So, did you know there is also a fast from technology?  — something most people haven’t done since the internet started.

Yep, it’s pretty simple really. Here is a video where I explain this better 😉

These are the 5 most dystopian technologies of 2020 and beyond

*Number 5 gave my spine and all my senses a jolt that made me write and create this video. We cannot lose our humanity and our empathy for money or for an algorithm that we barely understand.

5 Ways to Do a Digital Detox

Why Unplugging From Technology Will Make Your Life Better

Remember, you’ll also want to fast from fast routine, phone and computer environments. Keep in mind that most of your triggers and memories — and thus identity — are tied to places and environments. Try it and let me know what your experience has been like 🙂

While on my digital fasting, I’ve began to get a ton of insight. I’ve started to realize how reactive and how disconnected I was becoming to my own environment. Try it and you’ll start to notice how off you’ve been. You’ll then have more clarity and capability to shift your life in a positive direction towards a better you in the next 10 years. I hope this help. Happy New Year and I hope all your dreams come true. Be kind to your planet, to you and others. Until next time <3

But also we can’t ignore that racism, white supremacy and capitalism are all bias that still are very prominent in the scientific, medical and pharmaceutical industry. The injustices that are currently happening and discrimination in #quebeccity cannot be ignored and we must protect plus support those who are voiceless.

THIS IS QUEBEC. This is why they are working reall THIS IS QUEBEC. This is why they are working really hard to keep BIPOC quiet, living in poverty, worse housing conditions during lockdown. The government of Quebec has stop giving the second doses of the vaccine 🤦🏽‍♀️ and are conducting their own twist “study“ which is very clear. BIPOC are not essential even though we are all in the front line saving people, teaching, delivering and doing all essential services.

Encouraging racist and white supremacy landlords to keep marginalized people living in this conditions because once the people get evicted, landlords get a big deal 💰while there are millions of people homeless. Yes, in this city is illegal to be poor and homeless. Let that sink in.

This video only shows you the surface of what we’re living every single day. However, this video also gives a clear message for those who are still not voicing this matter because it doesn’t affect you. @kelzuncut ❤️🙏🏽 thank you for your courage 🌻

Silence is violence in this city and it’s affecting women, children, people with disabilities and marginalized communities. Where is your #empathy ?

This is what happens when lack of #leadership and keeping #racistwhitepeople in power. Well, we all learned our lessons from the USA 🇺🇸🙄yep, we also need to cut rotten apples here in Quebec City. @justinpjtrudeau

“In theory, it’s common sense that identifying a problem is distinct from addressing one. But when it comes to identifying the many manifestations of oppressive systems, the sense of “waking up” to pervasive inequity can be mistaken for being part of the solution.

When we identify oppressive systems, after turning inward to recognize our own role in perpetuating harm, it is crucial we turn back outwards again—to disrupt the status quo. 👏🏾💚

We must prioritize deep listening and sustained commitment to enacting change.” ✊🏾Yep!

However, silence, covert racism, discrimination against BIPOC, stripping children and parents rights while we are trying to survive a #worldpandemic with no support financially while also dealing with #injustice is violence. #climatejustice also includes #socialjustice ✊🏾Promise myself that I will not stay silent anymore. Even if it makes others uncomfortable. Truth, creativity, justice, sustainability, education, writing for change, kindness and love are our core values. 🌱

There is a huge difference between learning about racism, discrimination, white supremacy, inequality and sexism. Than experience it ever single day.

My hope is that by sharing my truth and of others, as we are working on growing this creative diverse media space against the status quo. And trust me, it has been very hard building this alone 🐺, create communities, hold bigots accountable, give back and work, as a single mother.

However, we hope by changing ourselves, recognize our unconscious bias, making mistakes and learning from them; still show up imperfectly and work on creating conscious behaviours, that it inspires change and creates impact. #equalitymatters Because is necessary more than ever now. Compassion needs to be priority. 🌎 Do NOT stay silent when you know and see injustice! Staying silent because it doesn’t affect you is privilege and violence. We need to stop this insanity systems and #abolishwhitesupremacy 👊🏾. Be kind and hold oppressors accountable. Stay conscious. 🌎🌻

Lesson of the day, for all of us. Even my kids. They saw a little because this is too violent for toddlers. However, they learned today #thisiswhitesupremacy and #racismistaught by watching how “police “ 🙄is doing nothing to stop them. Then show them #blacklivesmatter✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿 protest from last year. 😲Yep, if a 5 year old can get it. So can you. People, this is NOT our fight!

Thank you @staceyabrams ❤️👑✊🏾you’re a gift not only to the US but humanity 🌎✊🏾Thank you for what you do. Thank you for inspiring girls and women of color, that our voice matter. That we can beat the system trying to silence our voices. You brought hope back to all of us. Even 🇨🇦 😊. We love you!

P.s: Make sure beautiful earthlings to follow, like, comment, share and save our content and those we share here 💚 White supremacy is doing is work also on all social media platforms. They are trying to silent activists accounts and suppress freedom of speech. Especially, for any BIPOC. Thank you for your support and kindness 🌻
